Product Description
Our wooden chopping, grazing and charcuterie boards are durable, and hand-made in Australia.
Each board is hand crafted from locally sourced hardwood timbers including Vic Ash and Tasmanian Blackwood. Due to our boards being handmade – sizes and wood colours may vary slightly from the picture and size depicted.
It’s easy to care for your board by following some simple steps:
- Don’t soak wooden boards in water, just wipe with a cloth dipped in warm soapy water, rinse with clear water and either air or pat dry;
- It goes without saying, do not put in the dishwasher;
- Don’t leave wooden boards in a cool room or fridge for extended periods of time;
- Do treat your wooden board with a light application of food grade mineral oil, coconut oil or beeswax.
The more you use your board the more regularly it should be treated. Just remember, the duller the colour – the drier the wood. Looking after your board with regular treatment will maintain the integrity of the timber and also enhance the natural grain and colour of the timber;
Did you know that the AUS/NZ Food Authority recommend that food be prepared and served on hardwood boards whilst it was discovered that food prepared on plastic cutting surfaces were found to have disadvantages.
